    It wasn't mentioned, but there is difference in the position of his hands, not just in the loading process. He has his hands a few inches lower in the 2004 swing, which definitely helps him level out the bat and get in a better position to drive through ball. I have to disagree with the comments on the loading of the hands as the "icing on the cake"; the hand loading and THT are essential in every good baseball swing. Without proper loading of the hands, you'll never gain the maximum torque on the bat. I think Atkins would make a good study, for his bat has definitely slowed and that can't be down to age.
