NY Mets Batting Practice

Yes it's been a while since the last entry.  I suppose that is what getting married and moving will do...

Anyways, I had a chance to see the Mets come to town last weekend, and or course I had my camera.

Here is some video from the Mets' batting practice.  The big things that jump out to me watching these guys hit is efficiency and accuracy.  They are not necessarily "going after it" but there is little wasted movement and you always hear them hitting the ball squarely on the barrel.  Pre-game BP is more of a time to work on "skills" than to improve your ability.  You should have already taken care of that in your training!

Mets BP

The hitters are Carlos Delgado, Cliff Floyd, unknown, Ramon Castro, Jose Valentin, Chris Woodward and Julio Franco

And just an extra:

Billy Wagner

Hey Jeff enjoy all the clips you provide.

I know you mentioned in the past how big league guys are so relaxed during bp but still hit the ball hard. I would be interested in your comments on this again. I'm not sure I fully understand what you were trying to say.
